Have you ever dreamed of becoming a pilot? Improvements in aircraft design in recent years means the new generation of fixed wing aircraft can be faster, safer and lighter. And because many now fit into the increasingly popular microlight weight category, becoming a pilot has never been more affordable - and fun. Anyone can learn to fly.<\/p>

Isle of Flight Microlights is based at Sandown Airport on the Isle of Wight and teaches the CAA-approved syllabus where you can get your Microlight Private Pilots License.<\/p>

We are the only microlight school based on the Isle Of Wight. We offer a full training service including all ground exams. You will be trained by our qualified instructor who will take you through the course from start to finish. All lessons are on a one-to-one basis and each lesson includes a pre-flight briefing and de-briefing: your lesson charge is only based on engine start up to shut down.<\/p>

Ground Work exam syllabus in Air Law, Human Performance and Limitations, Aircraft Technical, Meteorology and Navigation are also taught by your instructor, and these compulsory (multiple choice) Ground Tests are taken at the school, with same day results<\/p>

Training is enjoyable, challenging, fulfilling and life enhancing, especially when the student has a disciplined approach and is willing to commit time and effort to achieve their goals. The training enables students to acquire confidence in their ability to fly the aircraft safely<\/p>

Instruction is offered seven days a week throughout the year (weather permitting)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>

The training aircraft are a Thruster T600N and a Flight Design CTSW and the CAA approved syllabus followed is the NPPL with Microlight rating - details of which can be seen here<\/p>

Once you have qualified, the instructor remains available for further training, revision flights, ground school or to help with any other queries.<\/p>
